Ralf Kempken "Mali" Elephant gets Highest Price at Charity Auction

I received an e-mail from Ralf Kempken. Ralf is one of Tusk's favourite artists. Here's the good news.....
"For those of you who were aware of the Mali in the city campaign run to celebrate the Melbourne Zoo's 150th anniversary, I was fortunate enough to get to spray paint one of the fifty sculptures that were dotted around the city.
All fifty sculptures were auctioned off last night at the zoo to raise funds. All proceeds from the Mali in the City Auction will go towards continuing Zoos Victoria’s critical wildlife conservation work both here in Australia and overseas.
I am pleased to say that my Mali emblazoned with Melbourne's skyline and lots of W class trams (an endangered species in itself) managed to be auctioned off at $ 28 000. The record price for the night.
It hopefully will be still on semi public view at the Docklands."

Ralf's Elephant is in the second row almost in the middle.....it's hard to miss the Trams.

Well done Ralf.
